Your Responsibilities: 

  • Work in the Data Science Team of the INNIO Digital organization on exciting Data Science and Software Development tasks with a strong focus on energy markets and INNIO's cloud-based myplant Energy Management product
  • Work on power plant optimization and simulations for the customers of our energy management solution
  • Implement complex algorithms and analytics from idea generation over development to product release
  • Apply related software development standards, guidelines, design practices and legal instructions to design reliable and compliant products

Your Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics or any other related degree
  • Working experience in machine learning model design, development and validation (Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SciKit)
  • Working experience in implementing Python applications and webservices (Dash, Flask, FastAPI)
  • Experience with Linear Programming / Optimization methodologies and solvers (MILP, SCIP, CBC, Pyomo)
  • Experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL)
  • Experience in consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Knowledge about energy markets and trading (EPEX / Day-Ahead, Intraday, Control Power Market) and regulatory frameworks for grid operations

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with large time-series data sets
  • Experience with Prefect pipelines and/or MLOps (i.e. MLflow)
  • Experience with cloud-based, containerized microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with additional programming languages (Java, JavaScript)
