We are looking for a rigorous, curious, and driven market intelligence professional to build and own our global service market intelligence capacity for gas reciprocating engines. This is a high-impact position sitting at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and commercial execution - providing the factual backbone for our service growth decisions. You will combine internal fleet operating data, sales insights, and external market and competitive data into forward-looking intelligence that will shape how we at INNIO run our service business. - Fleet-based demand forecasting: maintain & further develop analytical model that translates internal fleet data into spare parts consumption forecast and service manpower demand projections
- Competitive intelligence: systematically track the full competitive landscape for service manpower as well as spareparts, monitor new entrants and potential new partners - focus should be on both, competing OEM services for their products and other service providers addressing INNIO products (labor & parts)
- Strategic market driver analysis: monitor factors shaping service market demand and translate into what this means for INNIO; e.g. gas price changes, labor shortage, structural demand shifts; collaborate closely with senior leadership and (service) product managers alike to address special focus topics and jointly develop the market
- Regulatory monitoring: track relevant regulations & policy changes (emissions, feed-in tariffs, other incentives, safety, etc.), assess its relevance for INNIO and propose action if needed
- Strategic pricing: analyse service pricing strategies of competitors in collaboration with service pricing team, compare with customer requirements, and derive strategic recommendations for labor and spareparts pricing for INNIO
- Customer needs: derive insights from qualitative and quantitative research on customer preferences, incl. lost customers, and translate into product improvement ideas; collaborate with customers to gain insights firsthand
- Bachelor’s/Master degree in economics, business or engineering preferred
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in market intelligence, analytics, or product management, ideally in the industrial equipment or spare parts, service, or aftermarket industry
- Technical understanding and mindset ideally in the gas or diesel power generation market
- Exceptional quantitative skills: comfortable building large, structured Excel models with incomplete datasets
- Ability to distill complex analysis into clear narratives for senior leadership as well as for all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a cross-functional organization in geographically diverse businesses
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 30% of working time)
